Kayla & Sean's Spring Wedding on the Water

The Carolina Girl Yacht

Everything about this day was absolute perfection. The Carolina Girl is such a unique venue, continuously cruising down the harbor with the most insane views. The open air allows for a breeze and fresh salty air. It’s spacious, the ocean is an unbeatable backdrop for portraits, and partying the night away while cruising on a yacht is just so FUN.

Getting Ready

Kayla and Sean had a very intimate wedding party - just their two best friends. Sean got ready with his best man by his side. Meanwhile Kayla wrote him a heartfelt letter out on the deck. Then her mom and grandma helped her with finishing touches and getting into her dress. Julie and her celebrated with a champagne toast in their PJ's - what a vibe. The morning was casual and relaxed and nothing felt rushed.

First Look

They had their first look and she showed off her gorgeous dress and the lace detail and how it showcased all her curves in all the right places - he was totally enamored!

Exchanging Gifts

Right after their first look they exchanged gifts. He wrote her a super sweet letter and gifted her a diamond bracelet. So stunning and something she’ll wear forever. She got him an heirloom album of intimate photos from the Boudoir session we did prior to the wedding. I love doing boudoir sessions - these can be complete private for the two of your eyes only! If you’ve already done engagement photos these can be substituted with any wedding package. The look on his face says everything. Im not sure I’ve ever seen a man’s eyes go so wide with giddy shock!! I think it’s one of the best things you can gift a man on your wedding day. There’s so much intention and love and playfulness and intimacy behind it. You both will treasure those photos forever!!

Ceremony

Seeing the look on all of her guests faces when she walked down the isle made me so emotional. Look at all those big smiles! But nothing compares to HIS reaction. Walking down that isle together afterwards you can just feel how happy they are to be married!

Cake Cutting

Golden hour during toasts and cake cutting was immaculate timing. I loved seeing Sean's concentration face and them teasing each other with the almost cake smash and feeding each other instead. I will always steal a slice of your cake I rarely see unique flavors like strawberry and this one was delicious!!

Toasts

Below deck the sunlight beams in through all the windows casting everything and everything in gorgeous warm tones. It was the perfect compliment to all the joy in the room.

First Dances

It was so obvious these two were in LOVE. The type of couple I know will  have a beautiful family and grow old together and their love with only get stronger. Their first dance they just held each other and it so reflected how much affection they have for each other. Sean danced with his mom and her smile was just so contagious. I teared up along with everyone else during Kayla’s mother daughter dance.

Reception

After the sun went down, this group of people brought the PARTY. I love a group of shameless dancers. Everyone was out on the floor, cousins, mothers, grandmas, nobody was sitting down. They did a bouquet & garter toss and made them both super hilarious and fun. Hours of pure vibes and wild dance moves, and non stop laughter.

Sendoff

The bubble send off was so epic. If you do this as your sendoff, you need to ditch those little miniature wedding bubbles and bring out the big bubble guns! This was a blast and such a fun way to end the night. But their night didn’t end there, they trapsied their way straight onto a party bus to continue celebrating the night away.

What a FUN wedding, a STUNNING venue, and a PERFECT couple!!
